HAIs, hospital-acquired infections, are increasingly prevalent. In Italy, where UV-C Blinds was created, about 500,000 patients out of 9,500,000 hospitalised each year contract an infection in hospital. Of these, between 3% and 5% die (data from the Department of Public Health, University of Florence).
UV-C Blind is the first silent motorised roller blind for cubicles or windows. It shields the light and offers privacy, but above all it contributes to the health of patients, visitors and staff.
Inside it has an automatically activated UV-C fabric disinfection system whenever the “disinfect” button is selected.
UV-C Blind is TAO Medical’s first product, created and industrialised in TAO Tessile’s research and development labs. The Italian company produces prestigious technical curtains for interiors and exteriors of residential, collective and office environments and has numerous patents.
